The way one perceives and uses an interior is related not just to the space itself, but also to the objects inside that interior – a table, a chair, or a candlestick. Sometimes, designing these objects is a challenge in itself. We have made designs for furniture, vases, crockery, door fittings, and more. One example is the Communion table with matching glasswork for the Doopsgezinde Kerk (Baptist Church) in Haarlem. The table and glass play a key role in the way the church is used.
Objects are not always made with a specific location in mind. Our designs for glass office furniture and porcelain crockery, for example, have a certain overlap with applied art and design. The designs can be experienced at different levels – from concept to detail.
