Family house Overveen

A number of areas of this house were expanded and refurbished so that the interior, architecture and use of the family home reinforce each other.

The kitchen of the house has been given a completely new interior, as have the bathrooms. Where in the old situation people ate ‘in the kitchen’, the family wanted a nice place that could be used all day long. Thanks to the introduction of a kitchen island, a new zoning has been achieved between active cooking and a dining table where it is nice to land all day long. A new facade connects the interior more with the garden and provides more daylight inside.

A new steel glass sliding door to the hall carries this daylight further into the house. The front can open to the hallway in different ways. In this way, more light and visibility are achieved. Completely open, a flowing experience of space is created. When closed, the facade offers intimacy.
