Eneco Headquarters

The Eneco headquarters feature an unusual open floor plan: a triangle with convex sides transected by a leaf-like element. This form is an answer to the high sustainability ambitions for the building as well as the wish to foster interaction and collaboration between staff members in the heart of the building.

The three curved volumes differ in height and surround a green glass atrium. A large transparent restaurant with conference spaces above protrudes outside the building. To optimize the use of daylight, the transparent sections of the office are located on the least sunny side.

As the lower three storeys of the building are overgrown, it ascends from the park quite naturally. The greenery continues in a large courtyard over three floors and a number of roof gardens.

The placing of solar panels and solar tracking systems on the roofs and of a solar power installation on the southern facade formed part of the integral design strategy. By following this strategy, Dam & Partners realized an energy-saving and carbon neutral building with an A+ energy label.
