Amstelvista is envisioned as a vibrant and versatile hub, where working, living and commerce coexist. Set in a prime riverside setting, the design fully optimizes views of the river and surrounding landscape. The complex consists of three blocks, connected by an architectural continuous urban plinth on the exterior and a spacious central courtyard that provides abundant daylight and expansive views over the Amstel River and beyond.

The 75-meter-high residential tower houses 203 apartments, each with elongated corner balconies. Characterized by a light two-tone grey natural stone façade – the stone cladding in sync with the plinth – gives the structure a monolithic, sculptural appearance that provides a visual counterweight to the transparency of the glass volumes.

The two glass office buildings, designed in collaboration with SOM and MVSA, each showcase distinct architectural identities. The building with curved glass elements and fine detailing, designed by MVSA, optimizes views of the Amstel river. The neighbouring building, where SOM’s design meets our technical elaborations, embraces modernist principles and features a dynamic second skin that changes its appearance throughout the day.

The entrance, located at the corner of Ringdijk and Rocketstraat, will enliven the streetscape, creating an inviting and engaging atmosphere.
