We warmly congratulate the Central Government Real Estate Agency and Heijmans Utiliteitsbouw on the successful completion of the temporary housing for the Ministry of General Affairs. It is a remarkable achievement to deliver a project of such complexity and scale within the set goals.

The ministry’s new accommodation, designed by architect Friedhoff, is located on the Bezuidenhoutseweg. The building will soon welcome its new occupant. For us, this is familiar ground: between 2006 and 2012, we were responsible for the renovation, extension, restoration, and interior design of this striking complex, then for the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality.

The monumental character and distinguished 1950s interior by Friedhoff have been carefully and coherently integrated with the identity and functional needs of the temporary occupant. As a result, a tailored solution has been realized within a building that has continuously served as a government office for more than 70 years.

We thank the entire design and construction team for the excellent collaboration. Thanks to everyone’s dedication, mutual trust, and shared ambition, we were able to raise the bar together. The complex engineering and execution were only made possible by a collective belief in the project and in each other.
