The former site of the PTT headquarters now boasts a U-shaped complex with 59 apartments and 163 hotel rooms around a closed courtyard. The apartments with vertically connected glass loggias are located on Pieter de Hoochstraat, the hotel rooms are on Hobbemakade over a slightly receding glass plinth. The complex was fitted with double-layered glass roofing that refers to the partially glass roof of the nearby Rijksmuseum. This roofing gives the complex a special character, especially in the evenings when the interior lighting is on.
