The Teleport office park in Amsterdam comprises seven office buildings on the edge of sunken parking garages. The buildings are grouped around a large central zone that has the character of a green interior space. The difference between the inner and outer space is expressed in the design of the facades of the buildings. Around the central zone, the facades are ‘open’ and plastered white. The outer facades are conceived as a wall and constructed of robust masonry of rubble with occasional contrasting white plasterwork above the bands of natural stone Lacroix moulons. The result is an uncommon and elegant unity that stands out from the surrounding office buildings.
